About Luke
Luke Fitzgerald is Assistant Conductor of Coventry Cathedral Chorus, a role he combines with rehearsal accompanist. He has been Assistant Director of Music at Coventry Cathedral since Easter 2021, having moved here from Cambridge where he had studied for five years and gained BA and MPhil degrees in music. During his time at Cambridge he held organ posts at Gonville and Caius, Trinity and Jesus colleges.
Alongside his work in the Cathedral. Luke plays organ recitals throughout the country. Recent venues nclufe St Albans Abbey and Cheltenham College. He is also active in musical events raising funds for and showing solidarity with victims of the war in the Ukraine. 2024 sees Luke perform in New College, Oxford, and leading Coventry Cathedral Choir in Wells, UK and Romania
Luke's musical interests are wide ranging, with a particular love of baroque and modern music. He also has the good fortune to enjoy swimming and has started to follow the Sky Blues since moving to Coventry.
